Holland Park Risk Management provides consulting services to pension funds and other institutional investors.  We also provide an outsourced risk monitoring and reporting solution to small and mid-size funds.

We are not affiliated with any asset management firm, so our solutions are independent.

Holland Park was founded in 2005 by Valter Viola, an investment and risk management specialist with 16 years experience with both small and large funds. 

Before founding Holland Park, Valter spent 12 years helping to build Canada’s two largest and fastest growing pension plans – the $117 billion Canada Pension Plan (CPP) Investment Board and $87 billion Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan.  Valter was the first executive investment officer to lead the Research and Risk Management Department at the CPP Investment Board.  He spent the prior seven years at Ontario Teachers’, where he conducted investment policy research and managed the tactical asset allocation portfolio and inflation-linked bond portfolio.

Holland Park’s mission is to overcome key barriers to excellence in fund management.  Pension fund research suggests that the three largest barriers relate to focus, processes and resources.  These barriers have a common risk thread to them and our risk solutions are designed to overcome each barrier.
